NCC cadets finish Bailey’s Trail trek in Arunachal Pradesh

A contingent of National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets concluded a demanding trek along the Bailey’s Trail in Arunachal Pradesh earlier this week. The expedition, which spanned several days, tested the participants' endurance and navigation skills across rugged terrain and dense forest cover.
The cadets, part of a training unit from a local college, were flagged in by senior NCC officers upon their return, marking the official completion of the trek. Officials highlighted the exercise as a practical component of the NCC’s outdoor leadership programme, aimed at building resilience and teamwork among youth.
Local authorities praised the successful completion, noting that such activities promote adventure tourism and raise awareness of the state’s natural heritage. The trek also provided an opportunity for the cadets to engage with local communities along the route, fostering cultural exchange.
The NCC command has indicated that similar treks are planned for the upcoming months, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to experiential learning in remote regions of the Northeast.
The Arunachal Times reported the event, underscoring its significance for both the cadets and the broader community.
