Actor Anup Soni has reflected on the challenges he faced in securing roles after his appearance on the popular crime drama Crime Patrol, noting that the strong image he built on the show made it difficult to transition to other projects.
Anup Soni, known for his work in Hindi television, recently spoke about the impact of his stint on Crime Patrol. The show, a long‑running crime anthology, has a reputation for casting actors in intense, often villainous roles.
According to Soni, the portrayal left a lasting impression on audiences and casting directors alike, making it harder for him to be considered for diverse roles. He said that the strong image he built on the show became a double‑edged sword.
While he acknowledges the exposure Crime Patrol gave him, Soni hopes to diversify his portfolio and is currently exploring new opportunities in both television and film.
