Voters in the municipal polls have until today to submit their postal ballots, as the election commission closes the postal ballot window.
Voters participating in the municipal elections have a deadline today to send in their postal ballots. The Election Commission has announced that the window for postal voting will close at midnight. Candidates and parties are urging supporters to ensure their votes reach the designated counting centers on time.
The postal ballot system was introduced to increase voter participation and convenience, especially for those who cannot visit polling stations on election day. Election officials have set up multiple drop‑off points across the city to facilitate the return of ballots.
Election observers note that the final day for postal voting often sees a surge in submissions, making it a critical period for accurate vote tallying. The commission will begin counting the postal ballots once the deadline has passed, and results will be announced shortly thereafter.
