The Jharkhand Chief Minister’s secretariat has instructed the state government to take immediate steps to address the prolonged delay in recruiting engineers for the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (JUIDCO).
The directive came after complaints from candidates and stakeholders about the stalled recruitment process for JUIDCO, a key agency responsible for urban infrastructure projects across the state.
The secretariat has asked the relevant departments to expedite the selection procedure, ensure transparency, and complete the hiring within the next 30 days.
JUIDCO, established to oversee development of municipal roads, drainage and public utilities, has been unable to fill several engineering positions since early 2023, affecting project timelines.
Officials have assured that the delay will be rectified and that the recruitment will proceed through a merit‑based, open competition as per government norms.
