Coach Dilmperis has been appointed to lead Mohun Bagan in the upcoming ISL 2026-27 season, bringing a promising mix of talent and resources. The club and fans now await whether he can translate those ingredients into a title‑winning formula.
Mohun Bagan, one of India's most storied football clubs, has confirmed that Dilmperis will steer the side in the 2026-27 Indian Super League campaign. The appointment follows a period of restructuring at the club, during which the management assembled a squad that blends experienced internationals with emerging domestic talent.
Club officials highlighted that Dilmperis arrives with a proven track record in tactical organization and player development, attributes they believe are essential for competing against the league's growing financial powerhouses. Training sessions have already begun at the club's Kolkata base, with the coach emphasizing a balanced approach that leverages both defensive solidity and attacking flair.
While the roster appears robust on paper, the true test will be translating preparation into results on the pitch. Supporters and analysts alike are watching closely to see if Dilmperis can craft a cohesive unit capable of challenging for the title in a league that is becoming increasingly competitive.
The season is set to kick off in October, and Mohun Bagan's board has signaled confidence that the new leadership will deliver a performance that meets the high expectations of its passionate fan base.
