Mizoram's chief minister announced a strategy to develop the state's tourism sector by leveraging its cultural heritage, adventure opportunities and natural landscapes.
At a press briefing in Aizawl, Chief Minister Lalduhoma presented a comprehensive tourism blueprint that aims to position Mizoram as a leading destination for cultural, adventure and eco‑tourism.
The proposal outlines investment in heritage trails, trekking paths, river‑rafting facilities and community‑run homestays that will highlight the state’s tribal customs and festivals.
The government plans to collaborate with private operators and local artisans, while seeking central assistance to promote Mizoram’s attractions in both domestic and overseas travel circuits.
Lalduhoma stressed that sustainable development and environmental preservation will be core to the initiative, promising new employment opportunities for youth in remote districts.
