Annamalai's 'We The Leaders' to Contest Tamil Nadu Civic and Assembly Elections after Leaving BJP

Annamalai, a former member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has formed a new political outfit called 'We The Leaders'. The party announced its intention to field candidates in the forthcoming civic elections across Tamil Nadu's municipalities and in the upcoming state assembly polls. This move comes shortly after Annamalai's exit from the BJP, signalling a shift in his political alignment. The decision to contest both local bodies and the legislative assembly reflects the party's ambition to establish a foothold in Tamil Nadu's political landscape. Election officials have yet to release the final list of contesting parties, but 'We The Leaders' is expected to file nominations in the coming weeks.
