The Election Commission of Andhra Pradesh has set the schedule for the upcoming local body polls, which will be held in multiple phases from October 14 to December 2, 2024.
The Election Commission of Andhra Pradesh released the timetable for the state's local body elections, announcing that voting will take place in several phases beginning on October 14 and concluding on December 2, 2024.
The schedule covers a wide range of grassroots institutions, including gram panchayats, municipal councils and other local self‑government bodies across the state.
State officials said the phased approach is intended to ensure smooth conduct of polls, allowing adequate security arrangements and voter awareness campaigns in each region.
Political parties have begun mobilising their cadres in anticipation of the elections, which are seen as a key barometer of public sentiment ahead of the next state assembly poll.
