Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated a suite of digital governance tools – MIWAS, e‑Sanction, e‑Budget and a 100% Direct Benefit Transfer system – to streamline public services in the state.
Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma officially launched four digital initiatives aimed at modernising the state’s administrative processes. The programmes – MIWAS, an integrated management system, along with e‑Sanction and e‑Budget platforms – are designed to move approvals and budgeting online, reducing paperwork and processing time.
The launch also featured the rollout of a 100% Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism, ensuring that subsidies and welfare payments reach beneficiaries directly in their bank accounts. Officials said the move will curb leakages and improve transparency in the delivery of government schemes.
State officials highlighted that the new tools align Mizoram with the broader Digital India agenda, promising faster service delivery for citizens and better monitoring for administrators. Training sessions for department staff are scheduled in the coming weeks to ensure smooth adoption of the platforms.
The initiatives are expected to lay the groundwork for further digital reforms, including potential integration with central government databases and future e‑governance projects.
