The Meghalaya government has regularised 4,000 ad hoc employees over the past five years, bringing them onto the permanent payroll.

Meghalaya's state government announced that it has regularised 4,000 ad hoc employees over the past five years, bringing them onto the permanent payroll.

The move is part of an effort to provide job security and full benefits to workers who had been employed on a temporary basis.

Regularisation covers employees across various departments, ensuring they receive full salaries, pension eligibility and other statutory benefits.

The decision was taken by the state administration to improve workforce stability and to recognise the contributions of these workers.
