Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister has unveiled a new creative economy initiative dubbed 'Mini NITI Aayog', aiming to foster innovation and entrepreneurship across the state.
On Tuesday, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced the launch of a new creative economy programme, termed "Mini NITI Aayog", during a press conference at the state secretariat. The initiative seeks to replicate the advisory and policy‑formulation role of the central NITI Aayog, but tailored to the unique cultural and economic landscape of the state. By fostering entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and creative industries such as tourism, handicrafts, and media, the programme aims to generate employment and boost the state’s GDP. Officials said the council will work closely with local businesses, educational institutions and community groups to identify opportunities and provide guidance on policy and funding. The launch marks a significant step in Arunachal’s efforts to diversify its economy beyond traditional sectors.
