Maruti Suzuki aims for 30% women enrollment at Uncha Majra JIM by 2028‑29

Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading carmaker, disclosed its plan to increase female representation at the Junior Institute of Management (JIM) in Uncha Majra, Haryana, targeting 30% women students by the 2028‑29 academic session. The initiative aligns with the company’s broader corporate social responsibility agenda aimed at promoting gender diversity in technical and managerial education, involving scholarships, mentorship programmes and outreach activities in regional schools. The JIM currently has a lower proportion of female enrolments; Maruti Suzuki will work with the institute’s administration to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed. The automaker expects the increased female participation to create a pipeline of skilled talent for the automotive sector, supporting its long‑term workforce diversification goals.
