Manipur police have arrested two cadres of the Kangleipak Communist Party in connection with a woman's kidnapping, also seizing a firearm and a vehicle.
Manipur police announced the arrest of two members of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of a woman. The arrests were made following a series of investigative steps taken by the state’s crime branch after the victim’s family lodged a formal complaint.
During the operation, officers recovered a pistol and a four‑wheel vehicle believed to have been used in the abduction. Both the firearm and the car were seized as evidence and handed over to the forensic team for further examination.
Police spokesperson said the suspects are being interrogated and that the investigation is ongoing to determine whether additional accomplices are involved. The case will be forwarded to the district court for trial once the forensic reports are completed.
