Police say a man suspected of murdering his live-in partner in a Jaipur flat escaped by traveling on buses after leaving the body at the residence.
Police in Jaipur have opened a murder investigation after a man allegedly killed his live-in partner on suspicion of an affair and left the body inside their shared flat. The victim was discovered by neighbours who reported a foul smell, prompting officers to secure the premises and begin forensic examinations.
According to statements from the Rajasthan police, the suspect fled the scene shortly after the crime, using public buses to travel away from the city. Surveillance footage from nearby bus stops is being reviewed to trace his movements and identify the routes he took.
Authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest and are coordinating with transport authorities to monitor bus ticketing records. The case underscores rising concerns about domestic violence and the need for swift police response in such incidents.
