The Maharashtra government announced a dedicated health innovation hub to evaluate and scale homegrown healthcare solutions across the state.

The state government of Maharashtra has unveiled plans to create a health innovation hub that will serve as a testing ground for locally developed healthcare solutions. The facility is intended to accelerate the validation and large‑scale deployment of affordable diagnostics, telemedicine platforms and preventive care models.

The hub will bring together startups, research institutions, public health agencies and funding bodies to foster collaboration and streamline regulatory pathways. By providing shared infrastructure and expert mentorship, the initiative aims to reduce time‑to‑market for indigenous health technologies.

Officials said the project aligns with Maharashtra’s broader strategy to improve health outcomes while nurturing a vibrant health‑tech ecosystem. State funding, policy support and partnerships with national health programs are expected to underpin the hub’s operations.
