Madhya Pradesh's government will set up Gita Bhawans in every urban local body, a cultural‑religious initiative reaffirmed by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
The state government of Madhya Pradesh announced a plan to establish Gita Bhawans in every urban local body across the state. The initiative aims to provide spaces for the study and dissemination of the Bhagavad Gita, promoting cultural and religious values.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reiterated his commitment to cultural and religious projects, stating that the Gita Bhawans will serve as community hubs for spiritual learning and social cohesion. He said the centres will be built with support from local authorities and will be managed by appointed trustees.
The scheme is expected to be rolled out in phases, beginning with larger municipal corporations before reaching smaller towns. Funding will come from the state’s cultural budget, and the government will coordinate with municipal councils for site selection and construction.
