The RSS's all‑India executive committee began its meeting in Indore on Nov 2, announcing that the organization will replace state‑based units with larger regional zones.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) convened its all‑India executive committee in Indore on November 2, marking the start of a session that is expected to reshape the body’s internal organization. Senior leaders gathered at the RSS headquarters in the city to discuss structural reforms that have been under consideration for months.

During the meeting, the committee announced a major overhaul: the existing state‑level units will be reorganized into broader regional zones, known as "sambhagi" areas. This shift aims to streamline administration, improve coordination across larger geographic areas, and align the Sangh’s operations with contemporary demographic and strategic realities.

The new regional framework is slated to be implemented over the coming months, with detailed guidelines to be issued to state branches. Officials said the change will not affect the core ideological mission of the RSS but will enhance efficiency in program delivery and outreach. The executive committee will continue its deliberations in Indore for several days to finalize the rollout plan.
