An MLA in Madhya Pradesh was photographed cleaning his daughters' feet, saying he would not observe VIP treatment or formal protocol.
An elected representative from Madhya Pradesh was seen personally washing his daughters' feet, an act that broke away from the usual VIP treatment associated with public officials.
The legislator explicitly stated that he would not follow the conventional protocol that grants special privileges to elected leaders, opting instead for a humble gesture within his own family.
The incident quickly spread on social media, prompting discussions about the expectations of humility and accessibility among politicians.
No official comment has been released by the MLA's party, and the event has not been linked to any political campaign or public function.
The episode adds to a growing narrative in Indian politics where personal conduct of leaders is scrutinised for its symbolic value.
