A dairy farmer in Madhya Pradesh reported that his cow produced a record 19.76 litres of milk in a single milking, earning him about Rs 1 lakh.
A dairy farmer from Madhya Pradesh announced that his cow delivered an unprecedented 19.76 litres of milk during a single milking session, a figure that surpasses typical yields for high‑producing cattle in the state.
The farmer said the extraordinary output translated into earnings of roughly Rs 1 lakh, a sum that has significantly improved his household income.
Experts note that such a volume is rare and often linked to superior genetics, optimal nutrition, and meticulous herd management, though they cautioned that replicating the result on a larger scale would require similar conditions.
The incident has drawn attention from local agricultural officials, who plan to study the animal’s feeding regimen and health records to understand the factors behind the record yield.
If the findings prove scalable, the case could encourage other dairy producers in the region to adopt comparable practices, potentially boosting milk production across Madhya Pradesh.
