Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted that recent railway projects are driving growth in tourism and industrial activity across Jammu and Kashmir, according to Kashmir Life.

Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha told Kashmir Life that the ongoing expansion of the railway network is delivering tangible benefits to the region's economy. He noted that improved rail connectivity is attracting more tourists to the valley's scenic destinations and facilitating smoother movement of goods for local manufacturers.

Sinha pointed to the completion of key sections of the Jammu‑Baramulla line as a catalyst for these changes, emphasizing that reliable transport links reduce travel time and costs for both visitors and businesses. He added that the rail project is creating ancillary employment opportunities in construction, logistics and hospitality sectors.

The official underscored that sustained investment in infrastructure remains essential for maintaining the growth trajectory, urging central and state agencies to continue supporting the rail expansion agenda. He concluded that a robust railway system will further integrate Jammu and Kashmir with the national market, enhancing its appeal as a tourist and industrial hub.
