The District Collector of Khandwa, Rishav Gupta, convened a meeting with senior district officials to review two key development initiatives – the Khandwa 2041 Master Plan and the construction of the revered Dadaji Temple. The gathering was described as a “critical briefing” where the collector shared the latest status reports and sought inputs on implementation challenges.
The 2041 Master Plan, which aims to guide the city’s growth over the next two decades, focuses on expanding infrastructure, improving public services and promoting sustainable land use. Gupta emphasized that the plan is being aligned with state‑level policies and that detailed project proposals will be forwarded to the state government for approval.
Regarding the Dadaji Temple, the collector highlighted that construction work is proceeding as scheduled, with the temple expected to become a major cultural and pilgrimage centre for the region. He noted that the project is being funded through a combination of government allocations and community contributions.
The meeting concluded with a set of actionable items, including the preparation of a detailed timeline for the master plan’s implementation and the finalization of design specifications for the temple complex. Officials were instructed to submit progress reports within the next fortnight.
