Kerala University has instructed MSM College to withdraw the Master of Commerce admission of a student who is employed as a physical‑education teacher, citing eligibility rules.
Kerala University sent a formal notice to MSM College demanding the cancellation of a Master of Commerce (MCom) admission granted to a student who is currently working as a physical‑education teacher. The university’s directive references its admission guidelines, which restrict candidates from holding certain employment while pursuing postgraduate studies.
The student had secured the MCom seat earlier in the academic cycle, but the university’s review identified the teaching position as a conflict with its eligibility criteria. Consequently, the university asked the college to annul the admission and update its records accordingly.
MSM College has been asked to comply with the university’s instruction and inform the affected student of the decision. No further comment or appeal process has been reported at this stage.
