The approach road to the Karni Mata Temple at Bala Fort in Alwar has been reopened on a temporary basis until October 19, with authorities issuing safety guidelines due to a tiger and two cubs in the area.
The Alwar municipal administration announced that the access road leading to the Karni Mata Temple inside the historic Bala Fort has been opened on a temporary basis after a six‑month closure. The reopening is scheduled to remain in effect until 19 October.
Security officials confirmed the presence of a female tiger and two cubs in the vicinity of the temple precincts. Because of this wildlife activity, police and forest‑department personnel have been deployed to monitor movement and prevent any accidental encounters.
Devotees wishing to visit the shrine are being asked to follow strict safety instructions, including staying within designated pathways, avoiding stray animals, and cooperating with on‑site security personnel. Temporary barriers and warning signs have been installed along the route.
The administration emphasized that the temporary opening aims to balance religious sentiments with public safety, and it will reassess the situation before deciding on a permanent restoration of access.
