The Jharkhand Public Service Commission is alleged to have manipulated nine of its 36 exams, with evidence of question‑paper leaks and OMR sheet tampering. The CID has filed a chargesheet in court.

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) conducts a series of competitive examinations for state government posts. Recent reports claim that nine of the 36 exams organized by the commission have been marred by large‑scale irregularities.

Investigations point to leaks of question papers and tampering with OMR sheets, allowing certain candidates to gain an unfair advantage. Allegations also include the buying and selling of positions, undermining the merit‑based selection process.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has completed its probe and filed a formal chargesheet against the accused individuals in a court in Jharkhand. The chargesheet details the alleged collusion and the mechanisms used to manipulate the exams.

The court has now taken cognizance of the matter, and the JPSC is expected to cooperate with the investigation. If the allegations are proven, the commission may face severe penalties and a review of its examination protocols.
