The Jammu & Kashmir Public Distribution Department has appointed 88 Assistant Engineers from its Electrical Wing as Incharge Assistant Engineers and transferred 142 Assistant Engineers to other posts.
The Jammu & Kashmir Public Distribution Department (PDD) announced a significant reshuffle within its Electrical Wing. 88 Assistant Engineers (AEs) have been promoted to the role of Incharge Assistant Engineers (AEEs), taking on supervisory responsibilities over their respective teams.
In a parallel move, 142 Assistant Engineers were transferred to other posts across the department. The transfers are aimed at filling vacancies and ensuring balanced staffing in critical areas.
The PDD spokesperson said the changes are part of an ongoing effort to improve operational efficiency and service delivery in the state’s food distribution network.
Officials noted that the promoted AEs will oversee maintenance of electrical infrastructure in distribution depots, while the transferred engineers will support logistics and inventory management functions.
