J&K CM Omar Abdullah says education, health top priorities for global competitiveness

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah told reporters that the government will place education and health at the forefront of its development agenda to boost Jammu and Kashmir's standing on the global stage.
He said the administration plans to increase funding for schools, colleges and medical facilities, aiming to raise literacy rates and improve health outcomes across the region.
Abdullah stressed that these sectoral reforms are essential for attracting investment, generating employment and enhancing the overall well‑being of citizens, thereby aligning J&K with other high‑performing regions.
