Jharkhand to Trial 'Day Work, Night Jail' Scheme for Select Prisoners

Jharkhand has announced a pilot scheme that would let selected prisoners work during the day and stay in jail at night. The plan, still in the planning stage, is intended to reduce overcrowding in state prisons and provide inmates with work experience.
