The Jharkhand government has deployed heightened security measures at all 986 centres conducting the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET).
The state administration announced that comprehensive security arrangements will be in place at every centre where the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) is being held. Police personnel, bomb detection squads and CCTV surveillance have been mobilised to ensure a safe environment for candidates and staff.
Officials said the deployment covers all 986 test centres spread across the state, from urban hubs to remote rural locations. Temporary checkpoints and metal detectors will be installed at entry points, and a rapid response team has been readied to address any untoward incident.
The move follows a broader effort by the Jharkhand government to safeguard large‑scale examinations after previous concerns about crowd control and potential disruptions. Candidates have been advised to cooperate with security staff and to arrive early to clear the screening process.
Election officials and education department representatives will monitor the proceedings in real time, using live feeds from the installed cameras. Any violation of the security protocol will attract strict penalties under state law.
The JTET, a mandatory qualification for aspiring teachers in the state, is scheduled to commence next week, and authorities are confident that the reinforced security will allow the exam to proceed without incident.
