Jaipur's Jyoti Nagar police arrested two suspects and recovered more than 200 Bluetooth‑enabled helmets valued at around ₹10 lakh, after exposing a scheme that sold pricey helmets at low rates on an e‑commerce platform.

The Jyoti Nagar police station in Jaipur announced the dismantling of a criminal network that used an online marketplace to market high‑end Bluetooth helmets at bargain prices. Investigators traced the listings to a group that had sourced the helmets at premium rates and then attempted to offload them cheaply, misleading buyers.

During a coordinated raid, officers seized over 200 helmets, each equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and priced collectively at approximately ₹10 lakh. The haul included various models that are typically sold at much higher retail rates.

Two individuals were taken into custody on charges of fraud, illegal resale and violation of safety equipment regulations. The police have forwarded the case to the district court for further legal action and have warned consumers to verify the authenticity of safety gear sold online.

Authorities emphasized that helmets sold below market value may be counterfeit or compromised, posing risks to riders. They urged the public to purchase protective gear only from authorized dealers and to report suspicious e‑commerce listings.

The investigation is ongoing, and officials said they will continue monitoring online platforms for similar violations to safeguard road safety and consumer rights.
