On its 22nd day, Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 experienced a nearly 50% decline in collections, while the new Ramayana film has overtaken it in earnings.
Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, posted a collection of ₹X crore on its 22nd day, marking a nearly 50% drop from the previous week’s earnings.
The decline comes as the recently released Ramayana film has surged ahead, pulling in ₹Y crore on the same day and overtaking Jailer 2 in the box‑office rankings.
Industry analysts attribute the slump to the stiff competition and a shift in audience preference towards the mythological theme of Ramayana.
The dip may affect the film’s overall run, potentially shortening its theatrical lifespan unless a strategic marketing push is undertaken.
