The Tamil action film Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, Mohanlal and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, crossed ₹582.45 crore in worldwide collections by its seventh day.
Jailer 2, the latest offering from director Nelson Dilipkumar, has amassed a worldwide gross of ₹582.45 crore by the end of its seventh day in theatres. The film features superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role, with Malayalam actor Mohanlal appearing in a pivotal cameo.
The collection figure places Jailer 2 among the top‑earning Tamil releases of the year, matching the performance of several high‑profile blockbusters. The film’s strong opening and sustained audience interest have driven its steady earnings across multiplexes and single screens.
Industry analysts note that the combination of Rajinikanth’s star power and the film’s action‑packed narrative has resonated with a broad demographic, contributing to its commercial success. The movie’s release strategy, which included a wide international rollout, has also played a key role in boosting overseas receipts.
With the seventh‑day tally now firmly above the ₹500 crore mark, distributors are optimistic about the film’s potential to cross the ₹600 crore threshold in the coming weeks. The continued momentum will likely influence the scheduling of future releases in the Tamil film market.
