A high‑level delegation from Israel arrived in Bhubaneswar to visit the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and its sister institution, the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS). The visitors were received by senior university officials, including the vice‑chancellors of both institutes, who briefed them on ongoing academic programmes and research initiatives.
During the two‑day visit, the delegation toured state‑of‑the‑art laboratories, classrooms and community outreach centres, gaining insight into KIIT's technology‑driven curriculum and KISS's inclusive education model for tribal and underprivileged students.
Both sides expressed interest in forging collaborative projects, ranging from joint research in renewable energy to student exchange programmes. The meetings concluded with a formal signing of a memorandum of understanding that will lay the groundwork for future academic and cultural ties between Israel and Odisha.
The visit underscores Odisha's growing profile as a hub for international educational partnerships and highlights the role of KIIT and KISS in attracting global attention.
