The Madhya Pradesh health department, following CMO Dr. Madhav Prasad Hasani’s order, has revoked the temporary attachments of 175 medical staff in Indore, stating that October salaries will be paid only after they report back to their regular posts.

The state health department in Indore has cancelled the temporary attachments of 175 doctors, nurses and other staff members with immediate effect, acting on an order issued by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Madhav Prasad Hasani. The decision affects personnel who were posted on a short‑term basis to various hospitals and health centres across the city.

Attachments are typically used to fill staffing gaps, allowing medical professionals to serve in locations other than their regular posting for a limited period. The department’s directive reverses these arrangements, directing all affected employees to return to their original positions.

According to the order, the October salary for the 175 staff members will be released only after they have reported back to their parent institutions. The move is intended to regularise payroll and ensure that remuneration aligns with the official posting status.

The health department did not provide a detailed rationale for the abrupt termination, but officials indicated that the measure aims to streamline administrative processes and maintain consistency in staff deployment across Madhya Pradesh’s health network.
