The government will launch a digital livestock insurance portal in New Delhi on September 28, aiming to streamline coverage for farmers.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare will officially launch the livestock insurance portal in New Delhi on September 28, as reported by Dairy News Today.
The platform is designed to let farmers enrol cattle, buffaloes and other livestock under government-backed insurance schemes, simplifying claim procedures and expanding coverage.
Officials indicated that the portal will be integrated with existing schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and will be accessible via both web and mobile applications, targeting millions of livestock owners nationwide.
The inauguration ceremony is expected to be attended by senior officials and representatives from the dairy sector, who will demonstrate the portal’s features.
