India and Britain have formed a joint technology task force to develop a green energy corridor and address climate‑change challenges.

India and the United Kingdom have signed an agreement to establish a joint environmental research programme aimed at mitigating climate change and enhancing renewable energy sources. The partnership creates a technology task force that will coordinate research and development activities between the two countries.

The task force will focus on developing a green energy corridor, facilitating the exchange of expertise, and accelerating the deployment of renewable technologies such as solar, wind and hydrogen. Both governments have pledged to share data, conduct joint studies, and support pilot projects that demonstrate scalable solutions.

Officials said the collaboration is expected to strengthen India’s clean‑energy infrastructure, reduce carbon emissions, and contribute to global climate goals. The initiative also underscores the growing strategic partnership between India and the UK in the field of sustainable development.
