The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a rain and thunderstorm alert for the city of Hyderabad on October 17. The alert, valid from 6 PM to 6 AM, predicts showers with possible hail and strong winds across the metropolitan area.
Residents are advised to secure loose objects, avoid unnecessary travel, and stay indoors during peak rainfall. Local authorities have set up emergency response teams and will monitor the situation closely.
