IAF Chief Stresses Need to Adapt to Evolving Tech and Modern Warfare

The chief of the Indian Air Force underscored that success in contemporary conflicts increasingly depends on how quickly a force can integrate emerging technologies. In remarks reported by India Today, he warned that static doctrines risk obsolescence as adversaries deploy advanced platforms and network‑centric tactics.
He pointed to the rapid growth of unmanned aerial systems, artificial‑intelligence‑driven decision‑making tools, and next‑generation combat aircraft as key areas where the IAF is accelerating procurement and indigenous development. The emphasis is on creating a flexible force structure that can operate across contested airspaces and cyber‑linked battlefields.
The chief concluded by urging all branches of the armed forces to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and adaptation. He said that the ability to evolve with technology will determine which nation secures strategic advantage in future wars.
