HUDCO inks Rs 100,000 crore MoU with Gujarat for infrastructure development

Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has signed a memorandum of understanding worth Rs 100,000 crore with the Gujarat government to finance a range of infrastructure projects in the state.
HUDCO and the Gujarat state government have formalised a memorandum of understanding valued at Rs 100,000 crore to support infrastructure development across the state. The agreement was signed in a ceremony attended by senior officials from both entities.
Under the MoU, HUDCO will extend financing for a variety of projects, including roads, water supply, urban housing and other public‑utility works. The partnership aims to leverage HUDCO’s expertise in long‑term funding to accelerate the delivery of critical infrastructure.
State officials expect the large‑scale funding to stimulate economic activity, create jobs and improve service delivery for residents. The collaboration also aligns with Gujarat’s broader growth strategy, which prioritises modernising transport networks and urban amenities.
