Raichur, November 4: A Social Justice Meeting for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) was held in Raichur under the leadership of senior officials, including the Additional Director General of Police, the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police.
Questioning the absence of district-level officers from various departments, Bhim Army Raichur District President Vishwanath Ballidav expressed strong displeasure and questioned, "How can SC-ST communities get justice when the concerned officials themselves remain absent from such important meetings?"
During the meeting, he brought several serious issues to the attention of the senior officials regarding the difficulties faced by socially, economically and educationally disadvantaged SC-ST communities in various taluks and villages of the district. He highlighted problems arising from illegal activities and urged the concerned departments to respond immediately and take appropriate legal action.
Vishwanath Ballidav emphasized that Social Justice Meetings should not be limited to mere formalities but must serve as effective platforms for ensuring justice to victims and addressing the grievances of marginalized communities.
He further demanded that officials from all departments must compulsorily attend such meetings and provide immediate solutions to community-related problems. He also urged the authorities to take appropriate action against officials who remain absent without valid reasons.
