Officials said the heightened presence of security personnel is intended to ensure a peaceful and orderly immersion of the Ganapati idols, which forms a key part of the city’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. So far, the preparations have proceeded without any reported disturbances.
The police have also urged devotees to cooperate with the authorities, follow designated routes, and adhere to safety guidelines to facilitate a smooth conclusion to the festivities.
