Health Minister Launches Ayurveda Chatbot, Says Govt Revamping Department

The health minister introduced an Ayurveda-focused chatbot, lamenting past neglect of the department and announcing a revamp under the current administration.
New Delhi – The Union Health Minister inaugurated an AI-powered chatbot designed to provide information on Ayurvedic treatments. In his address, the minister expressed regret that the Ayurveda department had long lacked dedicated oversight and effective management.
He highlighted that the present administration, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is undertaking a comprehensive overhaul of the department to improve accessibility and credibility of traditional medicine.
The chatbot, accessible via the ministry's website and popular messaging platforms, aims to answer public queries, guide users to certified practitioners, and disseminate scientifically vetted Ayurvedic advice.
Officials said the launch is part of a broader digital health initiative intended to integrate traditional knowledge with modern technology, thereby expanding reach to rural and urban populations alike.
The ministry plans to monitor usage metrics and gather feedback for continuous improvement of the service.
