Fuel stations across Haryana’s National Capital Region will stop dispensing petrol to vehicles that do not have a current Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate, authorities said.

The transport authorities in Haryana have instructed petrol pumps operating in the National Capital Region to check the Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate before dispensing fuel. Under the new directive, any vehicle that cannot produce a valid PUC document at the pump will be denied service.

The move is aimed at tightening enforcement of existing emission‑control regulations and encouraging vehicle owners to keep their certificates up to date. Pump operators are expected to verify the certificate on the spot and inform drivers of the denial if the document is expired or missing.

Officials said the policy will be implemented immediately and will be monitored through routine inspections of fuel stations. Drivers are advised to ensure their PUC certificates are renewed before visiting a pump to avoid inconvenience.
