The Haryana government has announced a two-month period during which property owners can settle their dues at the previous tax rates despite the rollout of a new property tax regime.

The state of Haryana has introduced a revised property tax framework intended to modernise revenue collection.
To smooth the transition, the revenue department said property owners may continue to pay their dues at the old rates for a two‑month window.
The temporary concession is designed to give taxpayers time to understand the new assessment criteria and avoid sudden financial pressure.
Officials clarified that the option is voluntary; after the two‑month period, all properties will be subject to the new rates.
Detailed instructions on how to avail the old‑rate payment option are being posted on the department’s website and communicated through local tax offices.
