Hardik Pandya signs with Punjab Kings ahead of IPL 2027 auction

Hardik Pandya, the Indian all‑rounder known for his power hitting and medium‑pace bowling, has officially joined the Punjab Kings ahead of the IPL 2027 auction. The signing was announced by the franchise on Monday, signalling a major shift in the team's composition before the player market opens.
The move comes as Punjab Kings look to rebuild after a mixed performance in recent seasons, aiming to strengthen their middle order and add depth to their bowling attack. Pandya, who last played for Mumbai Indians, brings experience in high‑pressure matches and a proven track record in the tournament.
Team management said Pandya's versatility will complement the existing core and provide strategic flexibility. The player is expected to report to the Kings' pre‑season camp in Mohali later this month, where he will integrate with the squad ahead of the auction.
No financial details of the contract have been disclosed, but the acquisition is viewed as one of the most significant pre‑auction deals for the upcoming IPL season.
