Gurugram RRTS Stations Within 1.5km Marked as TOD Zones

The Haryana government has designated the areas within 1.5 kilometres of the 12 RRTS stations in Gurugram as Transit Oriented Development (TOD) zones, aiming to boost mixed‑use development and improve connectivity.
The state government announced that the land within a 1.5‑kilometre radius of each of the 12 Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) stations in Gurugram will now be classified as Transit Oriented Development zones.
Under the TOD framework, developers are encouraged to build high‑density residential, commercial and retail projects that are closely linked to the rail network, thereby reducing reliance on private vehicles.
The move is part of Gurugram’s broader plan to improve urban mobility and create sustainable neighbourhoods around the RRTS corridor.
The designation will also facilitate the allocation of municipal resources for infrastructure upgrades such as pedestrian pathways, cycling lanes and public transport feeder services.
Officials said the decision will be implemented in phases, with the first set of stations expected to see development guidelines issued by the end of the year.
