Gujarat University Names Dr Pruthul Desai as New Vice‑Chancellor

Gujarat University in Ahmedabad has announced the appointment of Dr Pruthul Desai as its new Vice‑Chancellor. The decision was made by the university’s governing council during a meeting held earlier this week. Dr Desai is expected to take over the reins from the outgoing Vice‑Chancellor, who will step down at the end of the academic year. The appointment comes as the university seeks to strengthen its academic programs and research initiatives. The new Vice‑Chancellor will be responsible for overseeing the university’s strategic planning, faculty recruitment, and student affairs.
