Gujarat Secures Fifth Spot in India's Foreign Tourist Rankings for 2025

The Times of India has reported that Gujarat emerged as the fifth‑most visited Indian state by foreign tourists in 2025, according to data released by the Ministry of Tourism. The state’s share of international arrivals has risen steadily, driven by attractions such as the Rann of Kutch, historic sites in Ahmedabad, and coastal destinations like Diu. Tourism officials attribute the growth to aggressive promotional campaigns, improved air connectivity with new flight routes to Ahmedabad and Surat, and upgraded visitor facilities. Gujarat now trails only Delhi, Kerala, Rajasthan and Maharashtra, which occupy the top four positions in the national ranking. Authorities say further investment in infrastructure and upcoming cultural festivals aim to sustain and improve the state’s appeal to overseas travelers.
