Within two days of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s flood assessment, the Ganga at Kailashpur Pulia in Begusarai rose to a three‑foot rapid flow, worsening the local flood situation.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inspected the flood conditions on September 5 at the Kailashpur Pulia bridge in Begusarai, Bihar, where the Ganga’s water level was already a concern. Within 48 hours, the river’s flow intensified, with water surging two to three feet above the bridge deck, turning into a swift current.
The rapid rise was observed at the same crossing that the CM had visited, indicating a sudden escalation in water volume. Local officials reported that the Ganga’s level continued to climb, pushing the flow speed beyond earlier forecasts.
Authorities have warned residents of heightened flood risk in low‑lying areas of Begusarai and have begun deploying additional relief teams. The situation remains fluid as the river’s behavior is monitored closely for further changes.
