A crumbling wall of an old house in Sanwer, Indore, fell on workers on Tuesday, killing four and injuring two.

On Tuesday, a wall of a deteriorating house in the densely populated Sanwer area, about 30 km from Indore, gave way while demolition work was underway. The falling wall struck a group of laborers, trapping five people beneath the rubble. Four of the workers were pronounced dead at the scene, while two others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital. Rescue teams arrived quickly and secured the site. Authorities have launched an investigation into possible safety violations and ordered a halt to demolition activities in the vicinity, citing concerns over unregulated practices in rapidly urbanising towns of Madhya Pradesh.
