FC Goa has publicly called on the All India Football Federation to improve accountability and transparency in the Indian Super League's refereeing standards.

FC Goa released a statement demanding that the All India Football Federation (AIFF) adopt clearer accountability mechanisms and greater transparency regarding the officiating standards used in the Indian Super League (ISL). The club said that consistent and unbiased refereeing is essential for the credibility of the competition and for the development of Indian football.

The team highlighted recent instances where questionable decisions have impacted match outcomes, arguing that a lack of transparent evaluation processes undermines confidence among clubs, players, and fans. FC Goa urged the AIFF to publish detailed guidelines on referee selection, performance assessment, and grievance redressal.

As of now, the AIFF has not issued an official response to the club’s appeal. FC Goa indicated that it will continue to engage with the federation and other stakeholders to seek reforms that safeguard the integrity of the league.

The call comes at a time when the ISL is expanding its reach and attracting higher viewership, making the issue of officiating standards increasingly prominent in the national sporting discourse.
